Arriving at Zurich Airport: agree the meeting point

Zurich Airport distinguishes Arrival 1 and Arrival 2 in its pickup guidance. Add the flight number and arrival date, then confirm the correct arrivals area and the exact place to meet. The public taxi ranks, a curbside collection and a prearranged name-sign meeting are different arrangements; this website does not assign a collection point automatically.

Allow time after landing for border formalities and baggage. If you request a name sign, say whose name should appear and how your party can be reached after arrival. For separate inbound flights, list each one and explain whether everyone should wait to travel together. Waiting allowances, flight monitoring and any delay arrangements must be agreed in the quote.

From the airport to Old Town, the lake or Zurich West

Old Town, Seefeld, Enge and Zurich West help describe your stay, but they are not complete drop-off addresses. Add the hotel name, street and building number. For an apartment or a property on a narrow street, ask the accommodation to confirm a practical vehicle access point and how to reach the entrance with your bags.

Zurich also has rail and tram connections from the airport; the official tourism guide explains the public transport choices. Compare them with the needs of your party. For a private-transfer request, describe child seats, a pushchair, a folding mobility aid or unusually large cases before choosing a class. Standard-bag counts do not establish the fit of bulky equipment.

Returning to ZRH or connecting with a train

On departure, enter your hotel or other collection address first and Zurich Airport as the destination. The form asks for the vehicle pickup time in Europe/Zurich, not the flight departure time. Add the flight details separately and allow for the road journey and your airline’s current check-in, baggage and security advice.

For a train connection, name Zürich Hauptbahnhof (Zürich HB) and provide the train time and a clear station meeting arrangement. If you are continuing straight from ZRH to Lucerne or another town, use the final address and list any stops. A station or city name alone does not define the whole itinerary.

Where do I meet a prearranged driver at ZRH?

Confirm the exact meeting point and whether it relates to Arrival 1 or Arrival 2 with your booking. A taxi rank, curbside pickup and name-sign meeting are different arrangements. Add your flight number and check the written collection instructions before travelling.

Can I request a hotel-to-airport transfer?

Yes. Enter your Zurich collection address as pickup and ZRH as destination. Use your requested collection time in the form and put the flight departure time in the comments so the complete schedule can be reviewed.

How much time should I allow after landing?

Border checks, baggage and the time needed by your whole party vary. Share the scheduled arrival and flight number, and agree collection timing and waiting terms. The landing time is not a promise that you will be ready at the pickup point.

Can my family request child seats?

Choose the child-seat option and add each child’s age plus any additional seat requirements in the comments. The number and type of seats, vehicle suitability and availability need confirmation before travel.
